When I was young, I decided to whip up some homemade ice cream by mixing freshly-fallen snow with ranch dressing. I’ve always been a bit of a freak. Combining things that have no business being together has remained the perpetual thrill of my life. I consider myself lucky to be able to turn this particular fetish into a career.

I’m Lauren Olson. I recently graduated from Indiana University where I studied advertising and gender studies. Unlike my previous culinary fail, these mismatched majors actually went together quite nicely.
